New to Goblis Foundation?

What we do, in plain language.

You are supporting Goblis Foundation, a Kenya-based non-profit foundation. Goblis runs two distinct programmes and uses specialist partners where another institution owns the relevant expertise.

Digital public-interest infrastructureOpen

Build trusted market-access infrastructure that helps evidence travel with opportunity.

The AfriTrace Link Fund supports the responsible development and adoption of Goblis Foundation’s cross-cutting AfriTrace Link platform for traceability, producer professionalisation, market access, funding/MERM interoperability and evidence.

The case for support

Need → opportunity → accountability.

We want supporters to understand the purpose before being asked to pay.

01 · The challenge

What is getting in the way?

Producers, enterprises, buyers, programmes and funders can lose value when identity, provenance, quality, market opportunity, settlement and outcome evidence are fragmented across disconnected systems and paper trails.

02 · Why now

Why does this deserve attention?

AfriTrace R1.6 is moving toward continental interoperability across market access, payments/settlement evidence, funding relationships and MERM. Responsible scaling requires product engineering, assisted access, data governance, security, integrations and real operating evidence—not software alone.

03 · What support unlocks

What becomes possible?

Support can strengthen platform engineering, producer/buyer adoption, offline/assisted access, interoperability, cybersecurity, research/MERM, shared market infrastructure and controlled country expansion.

Who benefits

The people, communities or capabilities this fund exists to strengthen.

Producers, enterprises, buyers, programmes, researchers and funding partners who need stronger evidence, traceability and market-access coordination across fragmented value chains.

Goblis responsibility

Who is accountable for the fund?

Goblis Foundation owns and governs AfriTrace Link as a cross-cutting platform. It sets public-interest governance, investment priorities and data/authority boundaries while technical delivery remains evidence and supplier controlled.

Where support can go

Examples of responsible, approved use.

Actual expenditure follows the fund purpose, approved budget, donor restrictions where applicable and delegated authority.

02

Applicants / participants

Use the programme route, not the payment route

This campaign is not a producer registration shortcut. Producers and organisations enter AfriTrace through the appropriate governed onboarding and market-access journeys.

03

Partners

Contribute capability under clear authority

Technology providers, researchers, market actors, governments and institutions can partner through scoped APIs, work orders, data terms and authority-specific evidence.

Evidence boundary

Support enables work; it does not manufacture results.

AfriTrace does not become a bank, PSP, lender, customs/procurement authority, certification body or research ethics authority. External facts remain authoritative in the systems and institutions legally responsible for them.

Finance, activity, output and outcome evidence remain distinguishable. Goblis does not publish targets as achievements.

Need a larger structure?

Use a fund or funding-partner agreement.

If your support requires a named sub-fund, geographic restriction, multi-year budget, reporting conditions, matching arrangement or organisational portal, start with the structured support route rather than a simple payment.

Fund allocationEvery contribution is allocated to a governed fund ledger.
Payment ≠ impactFinancial reconciliation and impact evidence remain separate.
No guaranteed outcomeSupport enables approved work; evidence determines results.
Human accountabilityConsequential approvals remain attributable to authorised people.

Ready to support AfriTrace Link Fund?

Start with one traceable reference. For larger or restricted support, use Create a Fund or Funding Partner so purpose, budget, reporting and governance are agreed before activation.
