Goblis Foundation Funds

Seven governed funding homes. Six standing public campaigns.

Every fund has its own accounting identity and purpose. Six funds have standing public campaigns; Opportunity & Matching Fund is activated only around an approved matching opportunity. A fund does not automatically mean a separate bank account.

New to Goblis Foundation?

What we do, in plain language.

You are supporting Goblis Foundation, a Kenya-based non-profit foundation. Goblis runs two distinct programmes and uses specialist partners where another institution owns the relevant expertise.

Flagship fund architecture

Choose the purpose you want to strengthen.

Each contribution is allocated to a governed fund ledger. Campaigns explain the public case for support; Finance and the governing agreement remain authoritative for allocation, expenditure and reporting.

How a donor-created fund works

A named fund can sit beneath the appropriate flagship fund.

A donor may propose a thematic, geographic, programme or donor-defined fund. Goblis first assesses fit and due diligence, agrees purpose/restrictions/governance/reporting, executes the governing agreement, then creates the authoritative fund record. Payment is not requested merely because a proposal was submitted.

01

Propose

Define purpose, geography, people, amount/period and intended restrictions.

02

Review & due diligence

Confirm fit, authority, risk, safeguarding, privacy and proportionate source-of-funds controls.

03

Agreement

Set budget, decision rights, reporting, recognition, data/IP and close-out terms.

04

Activate & account

Create the governed ledger and determine whether dedicated banking is required.

Banking discipline

Separate banking is evidence-driven, not automatic.

Goblis can operate dedicated accounts for material or donor-mandated funds while maintaining other restricted funds within controlled programme accounts. Every transaction is mapped from bank/account to fund, agreement, budget line and evidence.

Institutional relationships

Supporting Ubunifu does not merge institutions.

The Ubunifu Access & Innovation Fund is a Goblis-administered restricted funding route for agreed Ubunifu activities. Ubunifu remains a separate institution with its own governance, contracts and records.
