Conditional donor-funded small grants
Small, targeted support when a verified fund and a real need align.
A donor-created or standing fund may make certain modest programme or community activities eligible for a small grant. Grants are never automatic, and Jikimu or Mashinani participation is not itself a funding award or promise.
Preliminary interest is welcome; funded grant applications are not yet open
Goblis Foundation can begin assessing an initial idea while fund eligibility, grant criteria and available finances are being verified. This is an expression of interest, not an application for an available grant. An early enquiry, Jikimu referral or Mashinani community proposal does not reserve funds, confer eligibility or guarantee an award. Official application dates and grant limits will only be announced after a signed eligible funding instrument, independently verified available resources and approved selection policy.

If your idea relates to Jikimu's social entrepreneurship pathway or Mashinani's community-led development, send a short, non-sensitive summary for potential initial suitability review. This helps us understand needs before any formal funded call. Do not send identification documents, bank details or sensitive information at this stage.
What to share
- Jikimu or Mashinani, your county or community, and a short description of the idea.
- Who may benefit, the local need, the proposed activity and estimated resources if known.
- Any existing group or institutional partner; one safe way for the Foundation to respond.

- An authorised reviewer can assess programme fit, feasibility and any need for clarification.
- Where relevant, you may be referred to a more suitable programme or partner; no award is implied.
- Any formal application and independent funding decision would occur only after a real funded window opens.

How a potential small grant would be decided
Stage 1
Define the fund window
Publish actual eligible purpose, activities, amount limit, timing and selection criteria only once an approved fund is available.
Stage 2
Review programme fit
Check a Jikimu venture or Mashinani initiative against genuine need, integrity, technical readiness and inclusion.
Stage 3
Conduct proportionate due diligence
Verify safeguarding, conflict disclosures, applicant identity, delivery capacity and financial requirements appropriate to the risk.
Stage 4
Independent selection
An authorised review panel applies documented criteria, records reasons and offers clarification or reconsideration.
Stage 5
Finance and Treasury verification
Check donor restrictions, fund ledger allocation, real available cash, approved financial terms and distinct payment authority.
Stage 6
Agreement, milestones and follow-up
Sign permitted-use conditions, monitor delivery and learn from beneficiary/community evidence without overclaiming outcomes.

You may propose a restricted small-grant purpose, eligible geography or thematic focus through a governed fund. Donor advice does not become a direct grant payment order; Goblis Foundation retains independent eligibility, selection, safeguarding, grant and Finance authority.
