Who this is for

Kenya-based community organisations, rural groups and local institutions with an authorised representative and a locally identified rural priority.

Lasting rural development starts with community priorities, local knowledge, accountable representation and a plan for sustaining the work.

What to prepare

  • Group name, type, Kenya location and your authority to represent it.
  • The priority, existing resources, previous work and intended collaboration.
  • How community members identified the priority and who will sustain the work; do not upload member registers, IDs or private beneficiary records.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Organise the community voice

Discuss priorities inclusively and confirm the organisation’s authorised representative. Identify strengths and intended beneficiaries without submitting personal beneficiary lists.

  2. Step 2

    Register and express interest

The representative creates a verified account and submits the organisation’s priority and location. An expression of interest is not an award.

  3. Step 3

    Validate locally

Goblis reviews representation, community consent, context, inclusion and existing work. Relevant governance evidence may be requested privately; do not pay an intermediary for admission.

  4. Step 4

    Co-design a realistic response

Assess feasibility, partners, risk, resources, safeguards and measurable milestones. Options include capacity support, coordination, referral, readiness work or a decision not to proceed.

  5. Step 5

    Agree and deliver

Begin only approved work with documented responsibilities. Community leadership guides priorities; partners retain their mandates. Record progress, concerns and changes against the plan.

  6. Step 6

    Review and sustain

Review outcomes with representatives, capture feedback, agree maintenance or local ownership and close or continue against evidence. A proposal does not prove funding or delivery.

Common questions

Can an informal group enquire?

Describe your group and representation honestly. Goblis assesses the appropriate route and governance evidence needed; this page does not register your group with government.

Is this individual assistance?

This campaign is for community organisations and authorised local representatives. Jikimu is the separate social entrepreneurship support route.

Does applying guarantee funding?

No. Participation starts with local validation and feasibility. Conditional funding requires a separately approved mandate and independent decisions.
